I began my musical journey in the 60’s in Ann Arbor. My first gig was playing cello in elementary school, then graduating to bass guitar in high school. But it wasn’t ’til college that I got the rock & roll pneumonia (luckily no boogie woogie flu), playing bass and Fender Rhodes in a band called Four Fifths at MSU. Then I took a 20 year break from playing in a band, but honed my skills in the living room and in the car. Turning 40 sent me over the edge and out of the living room, as the onset of my mid-life crisis hurled me back into the band scene.
